Combined Sewer Overflow

These outfalls serve as combined sewer overflows necessitated by storm water entering the sewer system and exceeding the hydraulic capacity of the sewers and/or the treatment plant, and are permitted to discharge only for this reason. Dry weather discharges from these outfalls are prohibited. Each discharge is monitored for cause, frequency, duration, and quantity of flow.
